The evolution of an artist's statement is daunting and ever-changing. My philosophy remains in flux, fueling my ideology with forward momentum. I use traditional and mixed media visualizations to communicate my driving passion from life experiences and a need for knowledge. Many of my designs challenge gender issues, expectations, and public misconceptions. Often the view of female impact is narrowed by the scope of stereotyped patriarchy. I focus on exploring mental inscapes to understand better human complexity and how this changes our lives and the physical world around us. I celebrate organic form for its strength and beauty even when it is horrifying.
Women are so often underestimated and considered inferior to our male counterparts. However, we provide the initial organic contact for new humans through our womb, Our First Home. Healing and empowering the womb could create human metamorphosis. So, what is truly the extent of matriarchal power in shaping society?
